It’s been nearly three weeks since Election Day, but one South Coast race remains too close to call.
44 votes separate two candidates seeking a Ventura School Board post. There were seven candidates seeking two open seats.
Sabrina Rodriguez, who works in the non-profit field, was a clear winner for one of the slots.
But, businesswoman Jackie Moran and financial advisor Don Wood are still neck and neck in the race for the second open seat. Moran has 13,170 votes to Wood’s 13,126.
Early in the vote counting, Wood had a slight lead over Moran. The Ventura County Elections Office is planning to release its next update on the vote count Tuesday afternoon. The office is required to finish the count, and certify results December 6th.
