Brush Fire Concerns Sparking On Parts Of South Coast

It may be mid-November, but gusty wind conditions are bringing a renewed chance of high brush fire danger to parts of the South Coast.

The National Weather Service will put a Red Flag Warning in effect for wind, and low humidity for parts of Ventura, and Los Angeles Counties beginning at 6 a.m. Thursday. It’s expected the warning will remain in effect to around sunset on Friday.

We could see wind in the 20 to 35 mile an hour range, with gusts from 45 to 55 miles an hour. Humidity could drop to the 5% to 15% range.

While Santa Barbara County will also get some wind, the forecast isn’t for wind that will reach the Red Flag Warning status.
