Sacred Images On Display At South Coast Church

Image of our Lady Of Guadalupe on display at Mission San Buenaventura

Two large framed sacred images which were blessed by Pope St. John Paul are on display at a South Coast mission Friday and Saturday.

The images of Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Juan Diego are visiting Mission San Buenaventura, in downtown Ventura. There is a special mass Friday, and five masses scheduled for Saturday.

The mission is open for viewing of the images until 10 p.m. both nights. The images are on a tour of parishes in the Los Angeles Archdiocese. They are normally kept at the Basilica in Mexico City.
