More Agriculture Related Layoffs In Ventura County

There’s more bad news for the agricultural industry in Ventura County.

During a year which has led to the shutdown of a number of farm and produce packing operations, there’s word of yet more layoffs.

Oxnard-based Harbor View Farms notified county officials that it’s shutting down its raspberry and celery operations. Just under 100 seasonal jobs will be affected by the closure.

In a letter to County Supervisors, company officials cite economic factors in closing its raspberry and celery operations on various farms in the region.
