The course may be soggy, but that isn’t stopping a major pro golf event in Ventura County.
The PowerShares QQQ Championship is taking place this weekend at Sherwood Country Club. It’s the newest stop on the PGA’s Seniors Tour, and features more than 70 of the tour’s top golfers, like Bernhard Langer and Duffy Waldorf. It’s the first pro golf event in the region since an annual charity event hosted by Tiger Woods moved from Sherwood to Florida in 2014.
On Thursday, a pro-am event brought out celebrities like Wayne Gretsky and Caitlyn Jenner.
The tournament in Thousand Oaks is open to the public, and The Golf Channel will provide live coverage Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
