Nine Arrested in Connection With Drug Operation In Ventura County; Mexican Mafia Ties Alleged

Narcotics officers say they’ve broken up a drug operation in Ventura County with ties to the Mexican Mafia.

A month long investigation involving Ventura County Sheriff’s detectives, Oxnard Police, and the DEA led to nine arrests in Ventura, and Los Angeles Counties. Most of the arrests came from the Fillmore area.

Investigators believe those arrested were involved with dealing methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin on behalf of the Mexican Mafia, moving drugs from the criminal organization to street dealers.

Four pounds of methamphetamine was seized as well as other drugs, and four guns.
