A nearly year and a half long investigation has led to an arrest in the slaying of a Ventura County man.
Oxnard Police responding to a call of shots fired early on the morning of April 30th, 2015 found a pickup truck which had crashed into a building. They discovered the body of Angel Diaz inside. The 25 year old Oxnard man had been shot to death.
On Friday, Oxnard Police detectives arrested Aaron Holmes for the killing. The 20 year old Oxnard man was arrested without incident.
Investigators aren’t talking about what they think led to the murder, but say they don’t think it was gang related.
