Ventura County has turned to someone already on staff to fill the pending vacancy of director of the county’s Health Care Agency.
Johnson Gill will take over as head of the agency October 2nd, when current director Barry Fisher is set to retire. Gill is currently the organization’s Deputy Director for Population Health and Clinical Integration. Before joining Ventura County’s agency, he was a health care executive in San Bernardino County, helping to run a nearly 500 bed hospital.
Gill was appointed to the post following a nationwide search for a replacement for Fisher.
