Brush fire burning Wednesday evening on Gaviota coastline

A brush fire is burning 10 to 20 acres of brush on the Gaviota coastline.

The fire was discovered just after 4:30 this afternoon, about a mile north of Highway 101 near Refugio Road. Some of the aircraft being used to fight the Rey Fire in the mountains north of Santa Barbara are being diverted to try to stop the spread of this new blaze.

There’s no word on whether any structures are threatened at this point by what's being called the "Bar" fire.
