Chimney Fire burning near Paso Robles

A fast-moving wildfire in central California that started Saturday and forced evacuations of a lakeside community has now burned nearly 1,500 acres. It’s now 10-percent contained.

Cal Fire said the Chimney Fire broke out around 4 p.m. Saturday in the rolling hills south of Lake Nacimiento near Paso Robles. An evacuation order was issued for residents in the Running Deer Ranch community. It's unclear how many people fled their homes.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
