It’s a festival that’s been a South Coast tradition for decades.
But, Santa Barbara’s 28th annual French Festival this weekend will have special significance because of the terrorist attack in Nice. A special tribute is being added to both days of the festival this weekend. There will be a memorial event at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and there will be a place for people to post remembrances.
Center State Theater runs the festival, which is the biggest annual fundraising event for the theater, and the Speaking of Stories program.
It features French themed food, entertainment, and arts and crafts.
The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days this weekend at Santa Barbara’s Oak Park. Admission is free.
