The Central Coast is getting more than $60 million dollars from the California Transportation Commission for improvements to a pair of major highways in the region.
The CTC granted $55 million dollars for work to rebuild 32 miles of Highway 101 from Paso Robles to the Monterey County line. The work includes repaving the roadway, building new bridges, and upgrading guard rails.
The Commission also allocated $6.8 million dollars to redo 22 miles of State Route 246 from Santa Rosa Creek to Highway 101.
The CTC allocated more than $580 million dollars in its latest round of project funding.
