Ventura Police Officer Injured During Arrest Of Wanted Man

A police officer is recovering from injuries he suffered while trying to arrest a wanted man in Ventura County. Two Ventura Police officers went into a business on the 1000 block of South Petit Avenue just after a.m. yesterday, looking for Diego Santos.

They say the 20 year old man charged at them, and starting a fight which ended up outside. The officers eventually got the Ventura man into custody, and Santos was booked into the Ventura County Jail for resisting arrest, as well as for his outstanding warrant.

One of the officers suffered cuts to one of his hands. He was treated at the scene, and was able to return to duty.
