Ventura County Clerk's Office Opening New Permanent Location In Eastern Part Of County

An experiment to bring county clerk’s services to the eastern part of Ventura County has been so successful that a new permanent office will open in Thousand Oaks today.

For years, people in the eastern part of the county had to travel to Ventura for marriage licenses, property documents, and other official records and services.

In 2013, County Clerk/Recorder Mark Lunn began an experiment with the City of Thousand Oaks, using space in the City Clerk’s office to offer county clerk’s services a few days a week.

Lunn says the effort was so successful that today the county is opening a permanent office at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. The new clerk’s office in Thousand Oaks will be open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
