A 75 year old Ventura man is behind bars, after Ventura Police detectives say he killed another man with a hammer. Officers were called to the 300 block of South San Clemente Avenue in Ventura just before nine last night, by reports of a fight. They say they stopped Gavin Hobbs as he was leaving a house.
When they went inside to investigate, they found the body of a man who had a head trauma from a hammer. The man was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital. His name hasn’t been released yet. Hobbs was arrested on a murder charge.
