The eyes and ears of the classical music world are on the South Coast this week, as the internationally known Ojai Musical Festival kicks off its 70th edition.
More than dozen groups and performers set to appear at different venues in the Ojai area, most notably Libby Bowl today through Sunday.
Internationally known Opera and Theater Director Peter Sellars is the Music Director, coordinating performers and pieces for this year’s festival. There are concerts, lectures, and family events.
On Sunday night, the festival will hit the road for its closing event, with a concert on Main Street in downtown Santa Paula beginning at 6 p.m.
