Oxnard Police Begin Using Body Cameras

Oxnard Police begin use of body cameras

One of the largest law enforcement agencies on the South Coast has started using body cameras. The Oxnard Police Department received its first shipment of gear which will eventually be used by all patrol officers. It’s received 50 cameras, and after undergoing training last week, the systems are now in service in the field. Department officials say the gear will improve transparency, improve offer accountability, and increase the public’s confidence, and trust in the agency.
