Planned Parenthood Gets Major Grant For Sex Education Program For Central, South Coast Teens

Planned Parenthood has received a $240,000 state grant to support sex education programs on the Central and South Coasts.

The State Department of Public Health is giving the local chapter of the national organization funding for three years to support an evidence-based program targeting at-risk teens in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.

The program will focus on educating teens between 13 and 18 years old about the prevention of pregnancy, and sexually transmitted diseases.
