Man Accused Of Supplying Heroin In Oxnard Overdose Death

Narcotics detectives in Ventura County say they’ve arrested an Oxnard man on a manslaughter charge after they say he supplied heroin which led to a fatal drug overdose.

Christopher Ariaz died last December 15th in Oxnard from a heroin overdose. The Ventura County Narcotics Task Force opened an investigation, and identified Ryan Tepezano of Oxnard as the suspected heroin supplier.

The 36 year old man was arrested on a series of drug related charges in January, and pled guilty to the charges. He’s currently in the Ventura County Jail.

This week, Ventura County prosecutors filed manslaughter and sales of heroin causing great bodily injury charges against Tepezano for the death.
