DUI Driver Could Get 15 Years To Life For Fatal Collision In Ventura County

A Ventura County man is facing 15 years to life in state prison after entering a guilty plea to a second degree murder charge for hitting, and killing a bicyclist while driving under the influence.

Policarpio Bartolon Diaz was driving on Rose Avenue, near Channel Islands High School on January 26, 2014 when he swerved into a bike lane, and hit Gerald Garcia, fatally injuring him.

Diaz was arrested twice before on DUI charges.
