Two South Coast Police Officers Injured In Confrontation With Man

Two Ventura Police officer suffered minor injuries when they went to check on a man who was reported to be making threats to people, and he started to fight with them.

Officers were called to the 5300 block of Gillespie Street just after one p.m. yesterday, after a relative called asking them to check on Miru Kim. The officers say the 28 year old man was hostile when they arrived, and started fighting. An officer tried to use his Taser, but police say Kim grabbed it. He was finally taken into custody with the help of additional officers arriving on the scene.

Kim was arrested for resisting arrest. The two officers who suffered minor injuries remained on duty.
