Robotics Teams From Central, South Coasts Headed To World Championships

This is a big week for dozens of teenagers from the Central and South Coasts.

Two robotics teams from the region are headed to St. Louis for the FIRST World Robotics Championships. The Ventura County based team “The Circuit of Life” and the San Luis Obispo County team “The Greybots” are among the teams taking part in the competition.

The competition is sponsored by a non-profit organization which is using the event as a means of stirring interest among teens on subjects like science, engineering, and mathematics. The two local teams were among the winners at a regional competition in Ventura last month.
