A motorcyclist who crashed into a Metrolink train in Ventura County, leading to the death of his passenger has been arrested.
The crash happened around six last night just outside of Camarillo at Las Posas Road, and Fifth Street. CHP investigators say a 26 year old man was southbound on Las Posas Road when he failed to stop at a crossing, and smashed into the train.
Both he and her 23 year old passenger were thrown from the motorcycle. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was seriously injured. Their names haven’t been released yet.
The man was arrested after officers determined he was under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash.
