A South Coast community has a new fire chief today.
Keith Gurrola was sworn in last night as Fillmore’s Fire Chief. Gurrola knows the city well. He’s a longtime Fillmore resident. Gurrola was a Ventura County firefighter for more than three decades before recently being hired to serve as Fillmore’s Assistant Chief.
He fills the vacancy created by the death of longtime Fillmore Fire Chief Rigo Landeros in January.
