Fellow soldiers knew him as Sergeant Cullen. But, students at a Ventura County High School call him Mr. Cullen. Today, Buena High School students will be on hand as Emmet Cullen receives a Bronze Star for his heroism in Iraq.
He was credited with helping to save the lives of 20 of his fellow soldiers during a battle in Mosul.
Democratic Congresswoman Julia Brownley will be on hand at the high school campus in Ventura for a ceremony later this morning honoring Cullen with the medal.
