Ventura County Man Charged With Manslaughter In Overdose Death Of Man

A Ventura County man is facing criminal charges after detectives say he supplied someone with heroin which led to a fatal drug overdose.

Oxnard Police say on January 21st they were called to a business on the 1600 block of West Gonzales Road by reports of a man found unconscious in a bathroom. Darren Solis of Oxnard was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Ventura County Narcotics Task Force opened an investigation, leading to this week’s arrest of Floyd Johnson of Camarillo on manslaughter and heroin sales charges.
