There’s a new sign that the Los Angeles Rams could be spending more time in Ventura County.
The team already has a deal to hold spring workouts in Oxnard, at the longtime home of the Dallas Cowboys summer training camps. Now, a developer has filed an application with the City of Thousand Oaks to put up to 50,000 square feet of modular buildings on the north campus of California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks.
The application was filed March 15th for open land on CLU’s campus north of Olsen Road. The project needs administrative approval from city planners to move forward.
There is a big “if” to the project. While CLU says there have been “serious talks,” no agreement has been reached. There’s no word on the possible uses of the site, but the Rams haven’t announced where they will hold their summer training camp or regular season workouts.
CLU is the parent of KCLU Radio.
