Red Flag Warning Still In Place For Ventura County, But Meteorologists Say Strongest Wind Has Passed

A Red Flag warning for potentially dangerous wildfire conditions remains in effect for Ventura and Los Angeles Counties.  But, meteorologists say the most powerful wind conditions for Ventura County passed Monday afternoon.

No major fire issues have been reported in the county.  The wind in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties is below warning or watch levels.

The Red Flag warning for Ventura and Los Angeles counties is set to remain in place until six Tuesday night.

Southern California Edison warned about 16,000 of its customers in Ventura County that precautionary public safety power shutoffs are a possibility.  They include some customers in the Simi Valley, Moorpark, Camarillo, Santa Paula and Fillmore areas.
