Launch Of New Commuter Rail Service In Ventura County Postponed Due To Coronavirus Concerns

Coronavirus concerns have led to the postponement of the start of some new commuter rail service in Ventura County. Metrolink was set to launch new Saturday service between Moorpark and Union Station in Los Angeles.

Officials with the Ventura County Transportation Commission say they are pushing the start of the new service back from April to early this summer.

The VCTC’s bus service remains in operation, with the exception of two routes to Cal State Channel Islands which have been suspended because the university moved to online classes.
