Educator Who Served Central Coast College For Half Century To Be Honored

An educator who served a Central Coast college for more than a half century is going to be honored this weekend, with one of the best know buildings on campus being named after him. Dr. Gilbert Stork started at Cuesta College in the 1960’s. He served as an instructor, a coach, and for the last eight years of his time at Cuesta as its Superintendent/President.

Stork retired in 2018.

On Saturday, Cuesta’s men’s and women’s basketball teams will host rival Allen Hancock College’s teams. In between the two games, ceremonies will be held to name the gym the Dr. Gilbert Stork Gymnasium, as a lasting tribute to the longtime Cuesta educator.
