A foundation which helps support hundreds of non-profits on the Central and South Coasts is expanding its operations, with the addition of a new regional headquarters.
The Santa Barbara Foundation is opening a new center in Santa Maria. The complex on the 2600 block of Miller Road will help the Santa Barbara based foundation better serve client non-profits, as well as donors on the Central Coast. It will also provide meeting space for the Foundation, and for community events.
The nearly four decade old foundation has awarded more than $15 million dollars so far this year to support everything from social services to arts and cultural programs.
