The most recent water report in Santa Barbara shows what's been called a healthy reserve of water.
That's due in part to the rain from Northern California, and purchases made to store that critical water in a central coast reservoir.
In a report, the city says cutbacks on water by customers since the drought began are now at the 40% range in conservation.
At Cachuma Lake, however, water levels tell a different story.
In late July, there will be a downstream release of water as a result of agricultural and environmental agreements. Then, the lake will hit what's called a "minimal level," the lowest amount in years.
A desalination plant in the area is still scheduled to come online in October.
