Clean up and repairs are underway at a local department store after a weekend fire.
Fire crews from Santa Barbara brought out a ladder truck and multiple engines when smoke was seen inside the Sears store at La Cumbre Plaza Saturday.
The fire was centered near the freight elevator.
Fire investigators say they found combustible materials stored there, and the smoldering items were controlled quickly.
The fire did not spread into the main store, although in the area of the fire there was smoke reported on the first and second floor.
Damage has been estimated at about $75,000.
Cleanup and a repair plan are underway.
