Latest COVID-19 New Case Count For Central, South Coasts Only 60

Tri-Counties hoping to get to state's yellow reopening level soon

The new COVID-19 case count numbers continue to remain low, as the Central and South Coasts hope to reach the next level in the reopening process.

60 additional cases were reported in the Tri-Counties Wednesday. The total includes 28 in Ventura County, 11 in Santa Barbara County, and 21 in San Luis Obispo County.

The total number of cases in the region stands at just over 136,200. No COVID-19 related deaths were reported in our area Wednesday. All three counties remain in the state’s Orange reopening tier, but are hoping to get to Yellow, which will allow things like increased indoor restaurant capacity.

Ventura County is now offering no appointment, walkup COVID-19 vaccinations at a number of locations on a daily basis. Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties are providing walkup, no appointment shots at certain locations on certain days.
