Santa Barbara County Advances From Red To Orange COVID-19 Reopening Tier

Change allows more indoor capacity in places like restaurants and gyms

There’s some good news in the battle against COVID-19 on the Central and South Coasts. Improving metrics have allowed Santa Barbara County to advance from the state’s red, to orange reopening tier.

The change will take effect Wednesday morning.

It allows things like more indoor capacity for gyms, restaurants, and movie theaters. It also allows indoor and outdoor gatherings like wedding receptions, with certain limitations.

Ventura County has been in the Orange Tier for the last few weeks. San Luis Obispo County remains in the Red Tier.
