Some Central, South Coast Wineries, Breweries Closed By COVID-19 Will Be Able To Reopen

The state has made changes in COVID-19 shutdown orders which are good news for wineries on the Central and South Coasts.

Wineries, as well as breweries and distilleries on the Central and South Coasts could only operate if they also served food.  Some added food, but for others, it wasn’t practical, and so they have remained closed.

But, starting Saturday, the closed wineries, breweries, and distilleries can all reopen for things like wine tasting.  It has to be on a reservation-only basis, with a 90 minute time limit.

However, bars which don’t serve food must remain closed.  In fact, even when Ventura and Santa Barbara counties move from the purple to the less restrictive red tiers, bars must still remain closed if they aren’t serving food.
