Santa Barbara County To Join Ventura County In Opening Door To COVID-19 Vaccinations For Those 65+

Santa Barbara County is opening up the COVID-19 vaccination process next week to people who are 65 years old, or older.  The registration window will open February 16th.

Ventura County is already offering up shots for those 65 and older, depending on vaccine availability.

And, the state announced plans to open the door to vaccinations to some younger people with health issues.  It’s an effort to protect some younger people who may be at higher risk of the virus because of specific health issues.

The vaccinations will be available starting in mid-March to those 16-64 facing certain health problems like cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.
