We got another big reminder that the COVID-19 crisis is far from over on the Central and South Coasts. 1200 new cases of the virus and 24 new deaths were reported Thursday.
Ventura County had an additional 864 cases, Santa Barbara County 226, and San Luis Obispo County 145. The total since the start of the pandemic now tops 113,000 cases in the three counties.
The coronavirus-related death toll also continues to mount in the Tri-Counties. There have been 1028 deaths overall, with 579 in Ventura County, 289 in Santa Barbara County and 164 in San Luis Obispo County.
