Difficult Milestone For COVID-19 Crisis On Central, South Coasts; Diagnosed Case Count Tops 100,000

The COVID-19 crisis has hit a tough milestone on the Central and South Coast.  The total number of cases for the region now tops the 100,000 mark.

Just over 103,000 cases of the virus have been diagnosed in Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo Counties.  Ventura County tops 62,000, Santa Barbara County 25,000, and San Luis Obispo County is at nearly 16,000.

The three-county coronavirus-related death toll has now pushed past the 800 mark.  There have been 808 deaths.  Ventura County had had 436 deaths, Santa Barbara County 236, and San Luis Obispo County 136.
