The number of coronavirus related deaths on the Central and South Coasts continues to grow.  28 additional deaths were reported in the region Thursday.

Ventura County had 13, Santa Barbara County 9, and San Luis Obispo County six, to push the region’s total to 749 since the start of the pandemic.

Public Health officials say we are continuing to see the impacts of a holiday spike in the number of new COVID-19 cases.  2125 cases were reported in the three counties Thursday.

The numbers were high throughout the Tri-Counties.  Ventura County has 1,384, Santa Barbara County 418, and San Luis Obispo County 353.  We’ve had nearly 94,000 cases now confirmed locally since last March.
