Longtime South Coast Judge Retiring After Nearly Three Decades On Bench

A longtime prosecutor, and judge on the South Coast has retired.

Ventura County Superior Court Judge Vincent O’Neill stepped down this week after neatly 30 years on the bench. 

O’Neill was a member of the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office for more than a decade.  In 1992, he was appointed as a Ventura Municipal Court judge.  In 1995, he was made a Ventura County Superior Court judge.

He has been named as Judge of the Year by the county’s trial lawyers, and has served as Presiding Judge for the court system.
