COVID-19 Outbreak At Central Coast Jail Continues To Grow In Size


A COVID-19 outbreak at a Central Coast jail is continuing to grow in size.

15 additional cases have been diagnosed at the San Luis Obispo County Jail, pushing the total this month to 20.  The new cases were discovered after 100 asymptomatic inmates were tested in response to the outbreak.

It brings the total number of people who have tested positive at the jail since the start of the pandemic to 47, including 34 inmates and 13 correctional deputies.
