192 New Coronavirus Cases Reported On Central, South Coasts

The Central and South Coast are trying to hold the line with new coronavirus cases, while some other counties around the state have seen surges.

Ventura County has 122 new cases, Santa Barbara County 28 and San Luis Obispo County 42 Wednesday.  All three counties remain in the state’s red tier, which is the second from most restrictive.

San Diego and Sacramento Counties are in danger of being forced out of the red tier to the more restrictive purple tier because of their hikes in cases.

The three counties have a total of 192 cases, pushing the region’s total since the start of the pandemic to more than 29,200.     An additional cornavirus related death in Santa Barbara pushes that county's death toll to 130, and 330 in the three counties.
