Three new coronavirus related deaths have been reported on the Central and South Coasts, bringing the region’s total to 314.
Ventura County has had 162 deaths, Santa Barbara County 120 and San Luis Obispo County 32. The majority of deaths continue to be older adults with pre-existing health conditions.
148 additional coronavirus cases were reported in the region Thursday, with 92 in Ventura County, 27 in Santa Barbara County and 29 in San Luis Obispo County.
The total number of cases in the three counties since the start of the pandemic now stands at more than 27,700. Most of those diagnosed with the virus have already recovered.
