Two additional coronavirus related deaths have been reported on the Central and South Coasts, bringing the region’s total to 305. One of the deaths was in Ventura County, and one was in Santa Barbara County.
Ventura County has now had 158 deaths, Santa Barbara County 116, and San Luis Obispo County 31.
But there is better news when it comes to efforts to contain the virus in the region.
88 new cases were reported Friday, one of the lowest totals in weeks. Ventura County had 39 cases, Santa Barbara County 22 and San Luis Obispo County 27. The three county total since the start of the pandemic has passed the 26,000 mark.
