Santa Barbara County Museums Begin Reopening Indoors Areas After Coronavirus Closures Lifted

Santa Barbara County’s drop in the number of new coronavirus cases being reported opened the door to a number of new reopenings, including the indoor areas of museums.

The museums are allowed to reopen with capacity limits and safety measures.

The Santa Barbara Museum of Art has reopened for members.  Access will be limited to members only through October 11th, with full reopening to the public October 14th.

The Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History announced plans to open its main museum facility and its Sea Center on Stearns Wharf October 15th.

Restaurants, gyms, and movie theaters are among the other places in Santa Barbara County allowed to reopen indoor areas this week, with reduced capacity and safety protocols in place.
