A Ventura County school district has announced plans to resume some in-person instruction.
The Moorpark School District applied for a waiver for its K through 5th grade schools September 18th, which was granted Tuesday. Plans call for the schools to reopen with COVID-19 safety precautions October 19th.
Meanwhile, district officials say if Ventura County’s coronavirus numbers continue to improve, and the county moves to the red level, they will reopen middle and high schools October 21st. They say if the county stays at the purple level, the upper level schools will remain closed.
Parents concerned about safety can continue to keep their kids at home, and do remote learning.
