Confirmed Coronavirus Case Count On Central, South Coasts Tops 23,000

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases on the Central and South Coasts is now topping the 23,000 mark.  122 new cases were reported in the region Thursday, with 87 in Ventura County, 19 in Santa Barbara County and 16 in San Luis Obispo County.  Most of those diagnosed with coronavirus have already recovered.

All three counties remain at the state’s purple guidance level, which is the furthest from more reopenings.

One additional death was reported in the region Thursday, in Ventura County, bringing the overall total of deaths to 278.  Ventura County stands at 142 deaths, Santa Barbara County 109, and San Luis Obispo County 27.
