Santa Barbara County Issues New COVID-19 Related Guidelines For Homeless Shelters

The latest Santa Barbara County Public Health order is an effort to prevent cororonavirus outbreaks at homeless shelters.

The new order taking effect Monday night requires that people entering, or living in homeless shelters be screened for coronavirus symptoms daily.

If someone has symptoms, they must immediately notify the shelter and self-isolate.  And, if there is a positive COVID-19 case at the shelter, the manager or staff must immediately notify the Santa Barbara County Public Health Department.
