South Coast Bus System Announces Service Changes, Plus Continues Some In Place Due To Coronavirus

A transit system serving the South Coast has announced a number of service changes to try to improve performance, as well as continuing some changes already in place as a result of the coronavirus crisis.

The Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District will make minor adjustments to lines serving Goleta, Isla Vista, UC Santa Barbara, and Carpinteria to increase on-time performance.

Some service to UCSB and Santa Barbara City College has been suspended because of the coronavirus shutdown of in-person classes at the campuses.

Other service suspended as a result of coronavirus concerns includes the Seaside Shuttle, the Crosstown Shuttle, and the Downtown and Waterfront Shuttles.
